Leadville 100!

I am very excited to announce I will be running the Leadville 100 on August 21, 2021!

Known as the legendary “Race Across the Sky”, the race takes the select field of runners through 100 miles of tough terrain in the Colorado Rockies.  Ranging between 9,600 and 12,600 feet, the race takes the select field of runners through 100 miles of Rocky Mountain  torture.  I can’t wait…

I am running for a reason though…

I have partnered with an incredible non-profit called K2 Adventures, an organization that devotes its days to helping those in need. If you have not heard of them, I highly recommend checking them out (https://k2adventures.org).

Every dollar raised will go directly to their Limb Loss and Limb Difference program, an effort that provides funds and opportunity to people with disabilities.  Whether it is buying prosthetics for someone who can not afford, or funding a life changing trip up a mountain (like the one I am about to run this August!), K2 gives hope to those in most need.

K2 Adventures is an Arizona nonprofit exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3). Donations are tax deductible.

I will be reaching out directly to many you over the course of the next few weeks to discuss and share why this project is so important to me…and why I think it should be to you!

Thank you all for your support!

    Good morning Matt,
So glad I found out how to reach out to you to thank you for your kindness yesterday (Sunday 3/7) when I fell on the canal trail. I’m the woman with the incredible ability to trip and fall while walking.
Then I learn about your amazing story and I am so grateful to have met you.
My husband David and I would like to thank you in person the next time we are in Phoenix. Perhaps meet for a beer at OSHO?
Hope we get the chance. Wishing you continued success with your journey.
    All the best,
    Doreen Myers
