Be the Light – Happy 4th of a July

I’ve come to understand that the way we see the world…will also be the way we receive the world.

If you’re grateful, you begin noticing things to be grateful for. If you walk around smiling at people, you’ll get beautiful smiles back. If you encourage others, encouragement somehow finds its way back to you.

And the opposite is true.

If you see yourself as a victim, the world will keep giving you reasons to feel like one. If you expect the worst from people, you’ll notice every disappointment. Whatever lens you choose becomes the lens through which you experience life.

None of this means life is always easy. It isn’t. But every day we get to choose what we carry into the world. We can carry resentment, fear, and frustration…Or we can carry joy, laughter, peace, and hope.

One person walks into a room and makes it heavier. Another walks into the exact same room and somehow makes everyone breathe a little easier. Be that person. The world doesn’t need more people spreading their burdens. It needs more people becoming the blessing.

And when you bless others with your kind words and your kind actions, you too will naturally feel blessed. If you want to be refreshed… you must refresh others.

Life can and will be very difficult at times, but your circumstances should never determine your vibe. Your perspective should. Emotions may take you off course at times, but with the right perspective, you can digest those emotions, and get yourself right back on track.

So remember what you got. Remember where you live! And be the light to others whom you cross paths with this weekend.

God bless America🙏. Happy 4th!
