Markets Work

www.klaritylifestylecompany.com

As painful and scary as these times might be, they do present a unique opportunity for each one of us to take inventory of ourselves…and our lives.

Nobody is more difficult to be honest with than ourselves.  It’s too easy for us to point out a splinter in our brothers eye, while overlooking the log in our own.

And here lies one of our major problems – We tend to judge others by their actions, but ourselves by our intentions. Read that twice. We can all be better on both sides of that statement. Judging ourselves based off our actions, rather than our intentions, will serve as a better foundation for us to grow, providing a more accurate depiction of ourselves. But why is growth so important?

Because markets work.  The world is like a giant marketplace and each one of us is compensated for the value we bring to it (compensation being more than just money). We are all like stocks in the S&P 500, competing for capital in the market and being priced accordingly.  The market (aka: reality) does an incredible job of making sure we are all priced fairly well to our true value.  So, if you want more than you got…you need to become more than you are! How?

We can become more valuable every day…in all kinds of ways. You don’t have to go back to school or get a new certificate to increase your value. No, just become a better listener. Get really good at shaking hands. Excel at making your colleagues feel loved and supported. Don’t ever be late or reschedule on people. Master your smile:) We all can become more valuable by just practicing the fundamentals. It’s not complicated.

See, the world will also only take us at our own valuation. We are who we think we are. If you want to be a great father, or a wealthy entrepreneur, start acting like one now! Don’t wait. You already are a wealthy entrepreneur. What the mind believes, the body will follow.

Become more valuable this holiday. It starts between the ears.

FUNDAMENTAL IN ACTION: Awareness

This pandemic is no different than other trying times, adversity is opportunity with the right attitude. Take advantage of these slower times to plan out your daily life. Take advantage of these times to become proactive with your life, not reactive.

Have you ever gone to the grocery store, hungry, and without a list?  What happens?  You end up filling our cart with things you really don’t need.  You should be filling your cart with good nutrition for the week, but instead you fill your cart with Lucky Charms and Pop Tarts.  When you don’t have a plan, when you don’t prioritize your list, you will fill your cart with the wrong things.  Life is no different.

Remember: this too shall past.
